GRNSA Training Groups
GRNSA is a year round program, starting with Swim Lessons, and progressing all the way to the Masters level for adults. Each participant in the program is evaluated and placed in the appropriate group that will best suit their needs. Solid fundamentals and proper technique are stressed at all levels, with each level being a natural transition to the next.
GRNSA uses a progressive Age Group program designed to help your child develop physically, mentally, and emotionally. A well-defined, long-term approach of gradually increasing degrees of commitment is essential to reaching peak performance levels during a swimmer’s physiological prime. The emphasis in the early stages of participation must be placed on developing basic skills and above all: a love for the sport. In the later years, a more demanding physical and psychological challenge must be introduced to the training program. In this respect, Grand Rapids Novi Sad Aquatics is divided into the levels of swimming listed above.
Each training group has attendance requirements appropriate for the objectives of that group. If an athlete expects progression and improvement in swimming then they are encouraged to attend all workout sessions. The team does, however, encourage younger swimmers to participate in other activities in addition to swimming. The expectation level of the coaches to attend practices increases as swimmers progress and develops.
Please note that the workout schedules are tentative and are subject to change.
